In your English class you have been talking about the environment. Now, your English teacher has asked you to write an essay.

Write an essay using all the notes and give reasons for your point of view.

‘Every country in the world must do more to protect the planet.’ Do you agree?

Notes:

Write about:

1 drinking water

2 wild animals

3 (your own idea)

Write your answer in 140 – 190 words in an appropriate style.

Climate change and how it can affect the health of our planet is increasingly being discussed. Over the last few years, many countries have created some legislation to protect the environment, but I do not think it is enough.

For example, water is the soul of life on Earth, but a high number of industries continue to pollute it and there are some rivers without fish because of that. Fortunately, nowadays, water analyses are accurate, so they allow us to detect water contamination before it is too late.

Another very important pillar of our ecosystem is biodiversity. If wild animals become extinct, we will be next. We will not have a good future if we harm wild species. Because of that, in my opinion, governments have to pass strict laws that protect wildlife in order to protect humans.

Finally, it must be remembered that litter and pollution can also cause damage. In this respect, we can help individually by recycling and reusing waste.

Overall, I believe that if each country respected at least these three points, our planet would be a better place to live.
